Hi, I’m Lilo Ask-Henriksen

I am a holistic animal wellbeing practitioner in London. I bring my work to dogs in their own homes, where they feel safest, across London and, by arrangement, wherever their families travel. Online, I work with families around the world.

Where it began

How it began

I grew up in Norway with English setters, so dogs have always been part of my life.

In 2009 Samba arrived, my mountain chihuahua, and this work began with him. He was sensitive from the start, and his health would not settle, year after year. With the guidance of a natural vet, I changed what he ate, and I watched him change. I wanted to understand why. Everything I have studied since began with what he needed. He lived to almost fifteen.

Today I share my home with my four long-haired chihuahuas: Zoe, Zia, Nomi and Neo.

He is my legacy. What I offer today is what I was searching for then: everything I would want for my own dogs.

How I work

I work with a small number of families, and each dog has a plan made for them. The work builds from one session to the next, the way each season builds on the one before, so the rhythm matters.

The rhythm

Once or more a week

Most families choose a regular slot, once or more a week. Some dogs need more at times, from two or three sessions a week to daily, whenever the body needs extra support, and I recommend the rhythm that is right for your dog. One-off sessions are possible when I have space.

The session

Led by your dog

Each session lasts up to 40 minutes, and your dog leads it. I work wherever they feel most at home: their bed, a sofa or a favourite chair, away from the bustle of the household. I go at their pace.

The approach

Five parts, as one

I bring together laser therapy, massage, botanicals, nutrition and Reiki, in what I call the Synergy Protocol.

The home

Always with discretion

I work in private homes, always with discretion, and everything about your dog I share with you directly.
